From the 4th to 6th May, Wanneroo Joondalup Art Society is proudly presenting their annual Autumn exhibition and sale event at Sorrento Surf Life Saving Club.All are welcome to attend this popular community event. Entry is FREE.The festivities begin on Friday 4th May with an opening night celebration from 7.30pm.Guests will be invited to peruse around 200 original artworks by the talented members of the Wanneroo Joondalup Art Society, including feature artist Janette Hafez. Janette has developed her own style of very detailed pointillism. This method of painting is extremely time-consuming as each dot is individually placed on the canvas, some dots are raised which create interesting shadows and give her work a textural feel. There will be an opportunity to win one of Janette's wonderful paintings in the raffle.There will also be a wide range of abstract, realistic and contemporary artworks on display, including beautiful watercolours, intricate oil and acrylic paintings, vibrant pencil and pastel artworks and mixed media works. All displayed artwork will be available for sale at an affordable price, so it is a great opportunity to add to your collection or perhaps find that special Mother's Day gift.If you are unable to attend the opening night, you can view the exhibition and purchase artworks from Saturday 5th to Monday 6th May, from 9am to 5pm.Each year, this event attracts over 500 visitors.
