YOU decide here who will be pizza king or queen
This title is, of course, a play on words - "wanna pizza me" is literally "want a piece of me"! Hands up those of you who did not get this before now! I have to admit it took me a few minutes to realise the meaning of the title.
It will be Perth's first ever pizza fest and many of us love those quick and easy to order pizzas. Nowadays, there is such a range of toppings, or you can even make up your own toppings.
The Pizza Fest will be on Sunday 11th November 2018 and it will be held at the Badlands Bar, 1-3 Aberdeen Street in Northbridge. You can get there any time from 2.00 pm until 7.00 pm, after which there will be a party on till later.
You will be able to have:
Listen to live music
Buy drinks at the bar
Perth's top pizza trucks and street food traders will all be here at this first-ever Pizza Fest. There is a competition to decide who should be crowned the real king or queen of pizzas - that is, the top pizza maker!
This means that you, the public, will have the chance to eat up big with all your favourites pizza, plus probably new ones you have not tried before. There will be crazy new recipes and you will even have the chance to try a vegan pizza. These will be made by a new firm and they are doing extremely well with this new craze of pizzas.
There will be five of the best pizza chefs ready to play out this competition. You will be the ones to vote for the winner, so you are the judges for this competition. You will vote for whichever one you think deserves the crown for best pizza master! There is only one winner, five chefs, and one day to decide who this will be.
The winner of this prestigious event will be able to claim the trophy and the bragging rights for the year.
The Wanna Pizza Me does have some rules as follows:
Each ticket receives an entry. Each vendor has made a special $2 pizza slice which you can buy and then use to decide who you will vote for.
When you've tried them all, you can then vote for your favourite
You can still buy more if you can go on eating after your first five slices.
Children under 12 years of age can enter for free during both sessions. This does not include food or drinks.
Aus Street Food's own Bandlands Bar list includes sodas, plus beers and wines from their favourite Perth craft brewers. This will, of course, be the perfect way to complement all those delicious pizza slices you will be eating.
Aus Street Food has a resident house-party DJ's who will help carry on the party and ensure you have a good time until late. If you are not a party animal, you can still come and eat the delicious pizzas!
The sponsors will be bringing their branded photo booth, beer pong games and Aus Street Food favourite corn-hole.
The best way to get to this event is by public transport. The nearest train station is just a three-minute walk from McIver Train Station. There will be people at the station to direct you to the actual venue.
There is also some nearby paid car parking bays at the site and the closest is Aberdeen Street.
This is an outside event, though by then our weather should be sunny and warm, however, you need to prepare for any weather conditions.
As well as the $2 pizza slices that all the food stalls will have, they will also have full menu meals and sides if you require more to eat. It is suggested that you bring some cash with you for this event.
No food or drinks will be permitted to be brought into the event site, except in limited circumstances on proven medical grounds. Water refill points will be available.
