Come and play at one of Sydney's lovieliest beaches
[ADVERT]Right next to Lucas Reserve at Kurnell, Wanda Reserve is a lovely spot for picnicing close to the beach. It has great wide open spaces which are grassed and close enough to on-street parking to be able to haul down your picnic. There is plenty of room to accommodate large groups but no seating or formal picnicing facilities, so a picnic blanket or seating and perhaps umbrellas or some other kind of shade on a hot day is a must.
It is a great place for bigger groups to come and play games then walk down to the beach. There are plenty of surfers out on the waves at Wanda Beach and a patrolled area for swimmers as well.
The bathrooms at Wanda Reserve, are located a little away from the grassed area. A walk down the beachside Murdock Street will find you at the Wanda Surf Lifesaving Club's state-of-the-art block and the scenery along the way is well worth the walk.
Wanda Reserve is a natural looking beachside park with a beach big enough to accommodate a lot of people without that over crowed feeling. This is a lovely place for a group get-together or a casual day at the beach and a stroll.
