The Walsh Bay Arts Table returns to Sydney, raising the profile of art and artists from regional New South Wales (NSW) as well as efforts to support those regional communities. Proceeds from the event is donated towards the development of arts and cultural activities in regional NSW. Organised by the Walsh Bay Arts and Commerce and Regional Arts NSW (the peak body and support agency for arts and cultural development and activities across NSW), this year's program brings the love of art and food together.

Set against the historic and picturesque Pier 2 Wharf with views of the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge is a 5-course long table degustation dinner featuring dishes with matched wines from Walsh Bay Arts Precinct restaurants. The al fresco setting located on the water's edge will also play host to music styles of singer-songwriter Heath Cullen who will entertain guests throughout the evening and the NSW Minister for the Arts, the Hon Troy Grant MP, will address the guests.



The silent auction of artworks during the Walsh Bay Arts Table has received generous donations from regional artists. Some examples include the 'Lady in the Window' using charcoal mixed media on paper is courtesy of Heather Cohen who has exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Glen Innes, Inverell, Walcha, Sydney and Newcastle; Tia Gabriellah's oil on canvas 'Crystal Waters' is a subjective and emotional approach to the colourful world around her; and Kevin 'Sooty' Welsh has contributed his ceramic coolamon (an Indigenous Australian carrying vessel) and digging stick made with clay and fired with a matt glaze.
