Fascinating and quirky Cafe located in heritage-listed Wallangarra railway station offering all-day breakfasts, lunches and afternoon teas.
A great cafe to stop when visiting Wallangarra Town with its historical railway with an interesting railway museum.

Wallangarra Town is on the Queensland and New South Wales border. Wallangarra railway station was an important station where the trains from New South Wales would arrive and the people and all the goods were to change trains to continue the journey into Queensland and vice versa. Because the rivalry between the two colonial states, the gauges of the railway line were different. Photo by Author.

There are two platforms on the railway station, historically one side is New South Wales and the other side is Queensland. The awnings are also different, in comparison to the style of the awnings of the railway stations in New South Wales and QLD.

There are many sitting options, inside and outside on the platforms under the awnings. The cafe is located in what used to be one of the busiest railway stations in the old days when the gauges in New South Wales and Queensland were different and all the people and goods have to transit at Wallangarra.
Inside the cafe, there are shelves full of all sort of things, such as jewellery, old fashion dishes, cups, teapots, clothes, old movies, suitcases and toys. Outside, the platforms acquire style from the many pots of plants and succulents.
