It also has an inlet to the sea (it has been closed for over a decade due to the onset of drought) which makes the lake level high, making it the perfect spot to enjoy water-based and boating activities.
You can enjoy setting up a picnic on the shores of the lake and watch the day go by as you sit back and just relax!

Wallagoot Lake is in the northern precinct of Bournda National Park and Wallagoot Lake can be accessed from Sapphire Coast Drive from either Tathra, Bega or Merimbula.
Take the Wallagoot Lake Road and travel around 4km along sealed and unsealed road till you reach the boat club and access to the Lake.
The road quality is in good condition with both sealed and unsealed road, however, it is 2WD vehicle accessible.
Parking can be found near the lake.
