100 rings are hidden in Brisbane - can you find them?
We all know that Brisbane Festival is Brisbane's time to shine but this year's Brisbane Festival has a diamond sparkle to it. Actually, make that 100 diamonds. Wallace Bishop is celebrating 100 years in 2017 so they are giving away 100 diamonds throughout the Brisbane Festival. Yes, you heard correctly. 100 diamonds valued at RRP$1000 each. Wow! Brisbane will become a giant treasure hunting ground from 8 to 30 September 2017 for the Wallace Bishop Treasure Hunt and you don't have to be Indiana Jones to participate. Everyone is welcome to put their Sherlock Holmes hat on and follow the clues to the diamond treasure.
During the festival, Wallace Bishop will be hiding 100 cubic zirconia and silver rings (valued at RRP$200 each) in hidey holes around Brisbane. You'll recognise them in their distinctive Wallace Bishop ring boxes, which will be individually numbered. "But what about the diamonds?", I hear you ask. Inside each ring box will also be a letter with instructions about how to claim the major prizes. That's where the diamonds come in.
The bonus is that if you're lucky enough to find one of these little beauties, you get to keep the cubic zirconia ring AND claim your stunning $1,000 loose diamond, too. The diamonds and cubic zirconia rings are worth $120,000 in total, but you can only win once.
If you're a puzzle solver or the analytical type, right now is when you're probably asking, "How am I supposed to find 100 small jewellery boxes hidden throughout Brisbane?". It's good to know you won't be left to your own devices. You'll have to keep your nose to the grindstone and your ear to the ground, but most importantly, you'll have to follow Brisbane Festival social media for hints about where the diamonds are being hidden. The rest is up to you.
From the website: To claim the major prize of a loose diamond, the winner must bring their ring prize (numbered box and ring) plus the letter to Wallace Bishop headquarters at Cnr Commercial Rd and Doggett St, Newstead Brisbane by close of business on Friday 29 December 2017. When the ring prize, numbered box and the letter are presented simultaneously, the winner will receive a loose diamond valued at RRP$1000.
* Entry is available to people over the age of 18.
* Directors, staff, volunteers and immediate family members of directors, staff and volunteers of Brisbane Festival or Wallace Bishop are ineligible to win the prizes of this Wallace Bishop Treasure Hunt.
* Winners may win one major and one ring prize only.
