2013 Opening of the Walking Season

Walking SA are proudly launching the '2013 Walking Season' with a great free event on
Sunday 14th April, 2013 at
Elder Park from
10am. This all ages event will promote the various activities and services offered by the volunteer organisation, which includes supporting more than
20 specialised local walking clubs , as well as providing detailed maps and information on many of the state's bushwalking trails.
This event, however, isn't just for regular walkers - it is designed to introduce the many benefits and pleasures of walking for fitness to new walkers as well. You can find out about more about each individual walking club (there are walking groups to suit different fitness levels and interests), as well as learn about the latest walking gear from some of the more experienced members.
Plus new walkers can participate in the Come 'n Try Walks, which will take place throughout the day at Adelaide Parklands and Linear Park. These 1/2 hour and 1 hour walks are part of the South Australian government's '
