The George Brown Darwin Botanic Garden is located at the corner of Gardens Road and Gilruth Avenue, The Gardens NT 0820. It is about two kilometres north of Darwin CBD. The gardens cover 42 hectares area and are noted for their collections of North Australian and other tropical species.

Botanic Garden Heritage Walk is a one hour guide to leisurely stroll through the George Brown Darwin Botanic Garden, depart from Eva's Cafe, Gardens Road entrance starting 3.00pm every Thursdays and Saturdays. Along the way, a guide from Darwin Walk will tell you about the legacies left by a few of the prominent curators, including Holtze as the founding Curator of the Garden's current location. This tour will also take you to the heritage features that still stand today following cyclones and WWII.



At the end of Botanic Gardens Heritage Walk, you may like to visit the Information Centre or spend time in the Plant Display House. This tour will cost AU$19 per person (children under 15 are free when accompanied by a paying adult). If book online for this tour, please quote product code BGHW.

Meet the Plants Walk tour will introduce you to some of the significant trees and plantings within the Gardens in 1-hour tour. Along the way there may be a chance sighting of birds and seasonal flowers, so don't forget to bring your camera! Meet the Plants Walk tour will depart from Geranium Street entrance carpark at 4.00pm every Thursdays and Saturdays. The Walk the Botanic Garden tour combines the Botanic Garden Heritage Walk and Meet the Plants Walk into 2 hours tour. With this tour, you can get a comprehensive introduction to the 42 acres of parkland garden. Walk the Botanic Garden will be departing from Eva's Cafe, Gardens Road entrance starting 3.00pm on Thursdays and Saturdays. This tour will cost AU$37 per person (Children under 15 are free when accompanied by a paying adult). Book online here.
