Put those walking shoes and help beat brain cancer
Where ever you are in Australia put on those walking shoes and take a walk that will change many lives!
Walk for Brain Cancer is being held by the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation. A Foundation with a mission: to increase five –year survival to 50% within ten years. And in order for them to do this they need our help.
It was founded in 2001 by renowned neurosurgeon Dr. Charlie Teo and since then the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation has come a long way.
The Walk for Brain Cancer is a great way to help raise funds to the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation (their goal is raising $20 million by 2015) you will also be sending a message that Australians are getting to their feet this November and want action on brain cancer.
From the bush to the beach, solo or a group, running shoes or sandals; whatever it is, get walking and join the nation to help fight brain cancer.
Whether you want to go solo or gather in a group, either way you can help contribute to this amazing day. You can find the form and other details on participating in the walk on their website.
If you decide to walk as a group, you can either join one of the many organised walks or create your own group walk by getting your local community to join in. If solo is the walk you choose all you need to do is ask family and friends to sponsor you.
Put on those shoes and let us cure brain cancer. And remember, together, as a nation we will succeed!
