Wakefield Press (located at 16 Rose Street, Mile End, South Australia) is an independent publishing company focusing on the publication of unique works by South Australian writers. Many of their books tell the story of South Australia in history and pictures. Wakefield Press release about fifty books every year on topics ranging from art, sport, industry, poetry, gardening, food and wine. Wakefield Press do publish some fiction, but the fiction is of a literary quality and often inspired by real events, memories and places.
On Wednesday 14 December, from 5:30pm Wakefield Press will be hosting a special evening to celebrate the launch of
Willunga Almonds by Helen Bennetts, and facilitate Christmas shopping by giving 20% off all stock (excluding the new title
Wilunga Almonds). Wines will be supplied by the wonderful Coriole Vineyards, and the launch will be performed by Zannie Flanagan AM at 6 pm.
Willunga Almonds, by Helen Bennets is a special recipe book which also tells the story of the almond industry in Willunga, South Australia. It was released late in November 2016 and retails at $39.95.
