Waikerie Cliff Top Walk

As its name suggests,
is a walking trail along the top of picturesque cliffs in the township of Waikerie. It stretches eastwards from the riverfront near the ferry crossing for approximately 1.8 kilometres. Although relatively easy, the terrain is undulating with steps at certain sections of the trail.
There are a number of things to see along the way including a historic pump, historic chimney and channel bunker. If you're keen, short detours will also lead you to a
gallery supporting local and interstate artists, pioneer park pump and
silo art .
You'll of course need to pay attention to where you're walking, but do remember to look up every now and then as the river views are simply breathtaking. You won't want to forget your camera. Stopping at the elevated lookout is a definite must in my opinion.
Besides the riverfront, you can also access the trail from Goodchild Street and two points off Ian Oliver Drive (one at the silos and one opposite the Kirriemuir Motel). Parking is available at all these locations. There are multiple picnic tables along the trail too for your convenience.
