Walhalla Reserve is a small linear reserve between Hull Road and Walhalla Court.
It is bisected by a meandering gravel path.
I have visited it twice and both times several dog walkers were seen as well as walkers sans dogs. I got the impression that several walkers were using the reserve as a shortcut rather than a dedicated visit.
One hundred percent of the vegetation is trees, shrubs and bushes. One I Identified was several Australian blackthorn bushes.
Several unidentified trees, branches and leaves were interesting on close inspection.
The only bird seen on my visits was a red wattle bird.
Most of the trees are along the sides of the reserve with a narrow-grassed area between trees and residents' back fences. The trees are placed to prevent overhang into properties. As with many residences that back onto parks and reserves a gate is built into their back fence giving access to the park.
Halfway along the gravel path are two gum trees bordering the path almost providing an archway.
Seen from both sides
Plenty of shady spots in Walhalla Reserve. I noticed two young ladies and their dog finding a nice spot, spread out a rug and appeared to begin a picnic.
Walhalla Reserve can be found on Melway map 37.J.11 and is opposite Greenslopes Reserve.
