For those desiring dessert that is not too heavy, Waffle Tree along Prospect Road in Prospect specialises in a wide variety of its namesake dish - waffles. The compote and chocolate sauce used in their dishes are notable for being made on-site.

Their waffle dishes are divided into two categories, those that include ice cream and those without. Along with the normal version, a few of their waffle dishes feature a kind known as bubble waffle.

We liked that the waffle in the Snow Red Waffle was light and fluffy, and not too sweet. It was cooked sufficiently to give it a golden-brown colour. The strawberries and blueberries were juicy, and whipped cream partnered nicely with them. A light dusting of icing sugar completed the dish.

To accompany your dishes, diners can choose from various cold drinks and styles of coffee. The decor of the place gave it a casual and large windows provided ample lighting.
