Because every day in the year is worth celebrating
Throughout the year, there are special days that we celebrate. Special days such as birthdays, anniversaries, New Year's Day, ANZAC Day, Christmas Day, Mother's Day and Father's Day. But did you know that there is also Star Wars Day, held every year on May the 4th (be with you)? And did you know that May 14 is Dance Like a Chicken Day? And February 1 is Eat Ice Cream for Breakfast Day? And October 1 has got to be one of my favourite days because it's International Coffee Day?
Almost every day of the year is a special day. As we enter the month of May during this time of coronavirus, here are the other days that are worth celebrating!
May 1 BATMAN DAY
The unofficial holiday celebrates and honours one of the world's most well-known comic book superhero. If you love Batman, then this is the day for you! Why not spend the day in lockdown watching all the Batman films?
May 1 NO PANTS DAY May 1 is also a day to wear no pants! Which works very well if you are stuck mostly at home during lockdown. Of course, you could also just wear a dress, skirt, or kilt if you have one!
May 4 STAR WARS DAY A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, Star Wars fans all over the world began observing a very special day. That day is May the Fourth (a pun on the famous catchphrase 'May the Force be with you'), held every year as a celebration of all things Star Wars. Celebrate today by watching all the Star Wars movies.
May 6 BEVERAGE DAY Sit back, relax and celebrate the day with your favourite beverage.
May 9 EUROPE DAY May 9 is celebrated as Europe Day in the European Union (E.U.) and around the world. Why not make/order in some European food to celebrate today? Or watch a European film, or start learning a European language.
May 18 NO DIRTY DISHES DAY Wash all your dishes so that your sink and kitchen is all clean and sparkly.
May 21 TALK LIKE YODA DAY Talk like Yoda, you must. For those who don't know, Yoda is a popular character from Star Wars who has a strange way of speaking. To talk like Yoda, just add verb and subject at the end of your sentence in the order of object-subject-verb. Simple, it is.
