June is the first month of the winter season for us in Australia. But apart from those of us who celebrate our birthdays during this amazing month (yes, I do!), then every June we usually look forward to only one very important holiday: the Queen's Birthday. Which really means a public holiday Monday and so we get that much anticipated long weekend. And we really look forward to this one because for many of us, the Queen's Birthday weekend will be the only long weekend holiday we'll be having until October.
But did you know that there are other holidays that we celebrate in June? They're definitely not as official-sounding and serious as the Queen's Birthday, but they are special days nevertheless that celebrate the bizarre, the wacky, and the absolutely ordinary. So if you're despairing that June will turn out to be a dull month after the Queen's Birthday, then don't! Because here are other days in June that you can celebrate.
June 3Repeat Day A completely bizarre unofficial holiday that encourages people to re-do or re-state things multiple times!
