Top 3 Wackiest Restaurants in Sydney

We all love to eat in quirky places and if the food is great, so much the better. Adding on from the top 5 Wacky Restaurants in Sydney, I just couldn't resist sharing these fun venues with you too.
1. The Sydney Antique Centre
[ADVERT]What is it about dining amongst rustic old junk (or treasures) that we love? It takes us back to our childhood; we reminisce over tales that grandma told us and we somehow feel connected to our past. Or perhaps we are far more mercenary and just wish to buy something on the cheap that we sell for thousands on eBay.
Whatever your reason, the Southern Antique Centre ticks all the boxes. I love the thought of dining in amongst old tractor parts and hidden treasures. They boast that their Coffee Shop delights patrons with one of the most popular home cooked menus (including gluten free) and best coffees in the district.
You can read what Paul has to say about his experience
here .
The Southern Antique Centre is located at:
243-245 Princes Highway, Kogarah.
Open Hours: 7 days, 10am-5pm Monday-Friday and 10am-6pm Saturday and Sunday.

2. A Touch of Whimsy
If you love to take your sandwiches with cucumber, your tea in fine china, and surrounded by memorabilia, you are sure to love
The Tea Parlour.
So what makes this so wacky? Read what Sarah has to say about it
here . I personally love all things old fashioned and elegant, but that wouldn't quite be enough to get into my "wacky" books. So what does lift it to this status?
It is their Midnight High Tea Parties!
The Tea Parlour can be booked for private parties at any time, even midnight. Imagine a midnight High Tea with tiered towers of cakes and pastries. The price is great at approximately $30 per person and what really tips it into my "wacky" books is that they encourage you to come in fancy dress. What fun.
The Tea Parlour is located at:
579 Elizabeth Street, Redfern
Open Hours:
Thursday-Sunday 1pm-8pm or by booking

3. Eat the Wildlife you are Watching
Now I am sure the title of this will either intrigue or repulse readers and I'm not entirely sure quite where I sit on this one as yet, however, worth a mention in the realms of "wacky" is The Secret Creek Cafe and Restaurant (even if a little further out from Sydney than the others - about 90 minutes into the Blue Mountains).
Rest assured you are not eating any endangered wildlife, although you may find Australian spiced bush dukkah served with a hot damper roll, smoked trout nicoise, or grilled kangaroo salad.
What makes this one wacky for me is that you are eating in what appears to be an old tin shed (a rather lovely one of course) and whilst you are eating a meandering assortment of our bush creatures may wander past. Some of these creatures may include: eastern quoll, pure-bred dingo, long-nosed potoroo, rufous bettong, spotted-tailed quoll, brush-tailed rock-wallaby, the cream-striped red-necked pademelon, swamp wallaby, emu, and brush turkey.
The other "wacky" counterpart is the opportunity to join in on a wildlife walk at sunset when the nocturnal wild animals will begin their nightly rituals (bookings required).
Adding to their wackiness is their recent event -
Game of Thrones feast. This was a themed Yulefest feast and they are hoping to make it an annual event. They also offer 'Christmas at Winterfell', their Christmas in July tradition.
Secret Creek Cafe and Restaurant is located:
Within Secret Creek Sanctuary at 35 Crane Road, Lithgow
Telephone:

Open Hours:
