I am a retired English teacher who has retired from teaching but not from life, which I intend to live to the full. With all my hobbies, I'm busier now than ever with my art groups, small business and gardening.
Don't let your brain run on empty, top it up with a quiz
For those who would like to be on a TV quiz show, the best way to practice is by attending as many quiz nights as you can. One way to keep your mind as sharp as a tack is to give it a tremendous workout every now and then.
One you can attend to get your mind unhinged is on 25th May. The place, Maylands Sport and Recreation Club, 50 Clarkson Road, Maylands. Doors open at 6pm and the quiz starts at 7pm. The night will only cost you $20.00.
The money raised goes to WA Police Legacy, a charitable organisation which was started in 1992 to provide help and support to an officers' family when they lost a loved one.
Quiz nights are a lot of fun, provide good entertainment and plenty of laughs. Giving your brain a good workout is healthy - if you don't use it, you lose it. So grab a group of friends, make up a table and head on down to Maylands Sport and Recreation Club on Friday, 25th of May. Be ready for a night of mirth and merriment.

Laughter is good for the soul and when the activity is both intensely stimulating and good fun, it is great for your brain.
