For many ladies, they find the thought of track cycling a little scary. After all, the bikes have only one gear and no brakes. The first question that most ladies ask is: How do you stop?
Believe it or not, stopping is actually the easy part. With so many new ladies who have recently given track cycling a go realised that they had nothing to fear. In fact, they found it to be so much fun that they wanted to ride the track again.
Ladies Last Nights of Track Cycling for 2013 will be hosted by Western Australia's very own track cycling coaches, who also happen to be part of the national coaching squad. There instructions are easy to understand and they will ensure your complete safety.
Of course, when it comes to track cycling there is always an element of danger. However, there is a few things you don't have to worry about on the track such as cars, traffic lights and pedestrians.
If you have ridden a bicycle, or are currently riding to get fit, then why not stretch your comfort zone and give track a go. Do something different this year, and while you at it, transform your body into a well-toned figure which is just perfect for the summer time and the beach.
The evening starts at 6pm and runs for 2 hours. Fees are $15.00 and include coaching and bicycle. If you have pedals that you can remove from your bike, then you can bring them, however it is not necessary as the Velodrome has all the bicycle gear you will need. You will, however, need to bring you bike shorts (or shorts), t-shirt, track suit top, and runners.
