The Midland Railway Workshops Heritage Day offers plenty to see and do and the free musical entertainment is sure to be a highlight. Members of the WA Folk Federation have been working with the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority to provide a mix of music to suit all ages and tastes.

Keith Anthonisz, Chair of the WA Folk Federation explained that the day will feature artists "that mix younger and older musicians playing traditional folk, country and original music". Groups performing on the day include Mr Sour and the Strands, Louise Ratcliffe and the John McNair and Keith Anthonisz Duet.

Mr. Sour & the Strands is a talented duo offering folk, acoustic, and original sounds played on a range of instruments including guitar, ukulele, violin, and mandolin.

Louise Ratcliffe is a folk and country singer songwriter who released an album in 2012 called 'Crooked Lady' with twelve original songs on life and love.

John McNair and Keith Anthonisz perform as an acoustic duo and combine a musical interest in the atmospheric, eclectic and the spiritual.

Check the WA Folk Federation Facebook page for the latest information and some video clips of other performances. This great variety of local music is sure to add to the festive atmosphere on the day.
