The WA day long weekend is coming up quickly and there are so many things to do. It would be a great weekend for the whole family if you head down to Hillary's Boardwalk and take in all of the sights that the Mini Market and Cray Day have to offer.



The Amphitheatre will be home to the mini-market where you can find all sorts of goodies from local vendors. There will be all sorts of gifts, both for you and your family. The market will be open between 10am and 4pm. While the market is on, there will also be live music between 12:30pm and 2:30pm. The Perth musician Howie Morgan will be delighting the crowds.

And then to the highlight of the day. The fresh off the boat crayfish will be available from 1pm. Support the local fishermen, who are Fremantle favourites, Larry and Corry Amato. They will have WA rock crayfish for sale right off the back of the boat. Literally. All sales are cash only. The smallest crays will be $20 each, and mediums will be $25 each. If you want one of the biggest catches, they are going to be $40 a kilo. Some of these large crays will be around a kilo, so you will get lots of meat from the one cray. These will sell out quickly. and if the weather gets bad, they will not be available. Make sure to bring your esky with ice on to keep the crayfish as fresh as possible.

Head down to Hilary's Boardwalk for a great day out on Saturday, June 4th. When you go home that night, your wallet will be lighter but you will have made so many great purchases. And crayfish for dinner that night!
