Cheese is just another one of my favourite foods - cheese is possibly the most versatile food ever! You can eat it on its own, with crackers or in a sandwich, in a cake, in many sweet and savoury dishes. I always have a supply of various cheeses in my freezer as I used it a lot in cooking. Here are a few examples of using cheese in cooking: spinach roulade and blueberry and cottage cheese on raisin toast.

In Perth, there are not too many cheese events, however, I have listed some of them so you can decide which ones you would like to attend.

WA cheese week is actually held from 27th May to 2nd June 2019 and you can read about participants at this link.

1. CHEESE TASTING AT THE CHEESE BARREL**
There will be cheese tasting at The Cheese Barrel, 920 Great Northern Hwy, Millendon.

This daily cheese tasting will be all about Western Australian cheeses. The Cheese Barrel offers complementary cheese tastings every day from 10.00 am to 4.30 pm. During WA Cheese Week, their tastings selection will be exclusively West Australian cheeses!

2. CHEESE MAKING DEMONSTRATION WITH HaVe CHEESE**
This will be held at Taste Budds Cooking Studio, 305 Lord Street, Highgate on 28th May. It will be on from 6.30 pm to 9.30 pm and you can book your tickets at this site.

On the menu will be halloumi and ricotta. You can learn how to make these two cheeses at home and you will be shown how to create a few other dishes to enjoy it with. You will also be given some of chef Sophie's famous Focaccia bread. This venue is not licensed so please BYO drinks to have with your food.

3. ST AIDAN WINES AND HaVe CHEESE**
This will be on 30th May 2019 from 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm and they are looking forward to supporting local artisan cheese maker Robert St Duke. He will guide everyone through the process of making cheese.

They will then match some of their award-winning wines to HaVe Cheese creations. This will be an evening of fun by the fire in their function pavilion at 754 Ferguson Road, Ferguson. You can buy your tickets at this link.

4. EFYC CHEESE WEEK SUNDOWNER **
Join in on Friday the 31st May from 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm at the East Fremantle Yacht Club. The WA Cheese Week celebrations will be highlighting an array of amazing WA produce! Featuring a delicious grazing table, including some of the finest WA-made artisanal cheeses, charcuterie related products and canapes.

There will also be cheese making demonstrations with The Cheese Maker and a selection of local WA wines available for tasting. Plus WA food ambassador Don Hancey will be there. It will be an evening of food indulgence.

But hurry, there is only a strictly limited number of tickets available to this exclusive event! You can get your tickets at this link.

5. CURDS & WAy**
This will also be on during this time slot, and you can read all about it at this link.

It will be on 1st June 2019 at the Midland Junction Arts Centre. You can make your bookings at this link.

Now you have a choice of five different venues and functions and I know I will have a problem deciding which one to choose!
