Celebrate your love of beer with like-minded enthusiasts
Western Australians love their beer so much that there is a whole week dedicated to celebrating the amber ale. In fact, in true WA style of stretching things out just that little bit longer, WA Beer Week actually runs for 10 days.
Yep – a ten-day festival taking place across a huge range of bars, breweries and restaurants and will include more than 65 events from Friday, 17 November to Sunday, 26 November. Now in its 16th year, WA Beer Week is all about getting out and about among the beer communities and sharing a passion for beer.
WA Beer Week Opening Celebrations will begin on Friday, 17 November between 5pm and 7pm with a free, family evening at the Mandoon Estate in Caversham. The event will feature live music, plus bouncy castle fun for the kids. Mandoon Estate will also host a WA Beer Week lunch promotion at a cost of $38 per person. Enjoy tasting plates designed by Executive Chef Michael Hartnell and matched perfectly with seasonal produce by Head Brewer Steve Wearing.
The Queens Hotel in Highgate will host a Brewer's Loft and Artisan Brewing collaboration, in what will be Artisan's one and only appearance during WA Beer Week. You can get your mitts on $5 pints and paired bites for $10 – it's free to enter but strictly for the over 18s.
With beer tasting, food promotions and events happening throughout Perth and a chance to sample craft beer from local and interstate breweries, WA Beer Week promises to showcase the finest craft beer and bring together the beer community.
There will be plenty of other events announced in the weeks leading up to WA Beer Week. For more information, check out the website or head over to the Facebook page.
