Eat your fill with this delicious food made on BBQ
Now that spring has sprung, so to speak, it is the perfect time to light up that barbie and start cooking outside. For all you BBQ fans, there will now be the first-ever event of a WA BBQ DAY. The aim of this, apart from being a fun day, is to celebrate all things barbecue in Western Australia.
This will be a day and night of festivities and you will be able to eat some melt in your mouth, succulent, wood-fired BBQ. Of course, you will need a few drinks to accompany this, as well as mixing with people who also are passionate about having a BBQ.
The whole family is welcome at this event and this includes the children during the day. There will be some demonstrations and you can pick the pitmaster's brains!
The organisers, Pittmasters, are asking for a small donation for this event for the day's activities and this is just $5 for each adult and children are free. They are planning to do a children's tutorial on how to reverse sear a steak at lunch also.
The legends from Big Don's Smoked Meats and Molly's BBQ Smokehouse will be your hosts for the evening, turning out a buffet style meat fest, to take you to BBQ heaven.
BiG Don's Smoked Meats One of the reviews on Big Don's Facebook page is as follows: "The best brisket in Perth hands down. You can tell Don loves what he is doing and that shows in all his bbq meats. The experience is always top notch. Get yourself to one of his events and you won't be disappointed."
I think this says a lot about this firm and I am sure that the buffet meals being prepared for this function will be excellent!
At this function, there will be a subwoofer too for the people who want to shake their booty, while their partners talk about BBQ.
There will also be room for you to put up your tent, or bring a campervan or caravan if you want to stay the night! The spaces for these are however limited, so please advise organisers as soon as possible if you intend bringing your mobile home and staying over the night.
Any vendors who have rubs or sauces, woods, BBQ equipment or whatever, are welcome too, providing you have an all-day pass ticket.
This event will also be a fundraiser and part of the proceeds taken here will go towards the farming community, as well as the Red Cross Disaster Relief And Recovery Appeal.
The event will be BYO - this will keep costs down and make it affordable for an average family. All day passes are $55 per person, plus booking fee, which includes the day's activities and dinner.
Children under 16 years of age are FREE!
This will be the very first WA BBQ Day celebration to share the love of BBQ, so it would be a great event to attend. You will get an amazing meal/feed, talk to and meet some great people, while also finding out what the BBQ community and BBQ Family, is all about.
About the Organisers
