Cafe, bar and restaurant - Well, that almost says it all except how good it is!
Braving the weather without an umbrella on a wet night in the city, we found the restaurant that we had blindly booked online, which seemed like good value and had an appealing menu.
On entering the vibe was a little cold with the usual, wait to be seated feel but as soon as we were seated, the environment felt very comfortable. Looking around offered plenty of stimulation with a reasonably small space tastefully divided into tables and lounge seating for both a formal and a more informal dining experience.
It was an absolute surprise when the simple Greek Bruschetta turned up and totally set the tone for an unforgettable meal. Having never eaten in a Serbian influenced restaurant before I was totally impressed. Think simple, but absolutely delicious.
We had four courses, Prawns in Mediterranean bizarri sauce following the Greek bruschetta; fresh and tender John Dory with potatoes and spinach; and finishing with the most delicious pear poached in red wine which ended the meal beautifully.
There is a reasonable selection of wines at decent prices. Meals are good value and for the price conscious, try searching Groupon where you will find an exceptional deal from time to time.
