A tiny store full to the brim with items handpicked for you
I very rarely find a clothing store which I like so much that I recommend it to my friends. However, Voodoo Moon in Fairfield Gardens has been clothing me for years now and whenever I'm wearing something fabulous and someone asks me where it's from, I send them straight down to see the ladies there. They cherry-pick the very best from some larger brands but also select beautiful pieces from small, indie designers to add to their brimming store.
I especially love their dress and skirt ranges which seem to always be in my style and fit me perfectly. I thought it was just a fluke the first few times but each piece I try on fits like a glove. They have beautiful flowing dresses in summer which are replaced with a more fitted range in the cooler months but they always offer a pop of colour or a unique print to make you feel unique and special.
Their jewellery range is to die for and they stock a great range of handbags, scarves and other accessories. When I was in the other day, they had just received a shipment of the most beautiful vintage inspired metal toys including robots, spinning tops and a ping pong table complete with players.
Whether you're looking for something special for yourself or a gift for someone else, this is the perfect store with quality items that you'll think were picked out just for you. The friendly owners will help you with any curly requests and will always try to find the perfect thing for you.
Yes I find Voodoo Moon to be a pretty lucky place to find something when you have a special occasion and suddenly realize that you haven't got something suitable to wear. I live pretty nearby, and a couple of times I've been able to find an outfit there when I was in a bit of a panic…they have a good vibe, interesting clothes…would choose them over the big mall scene any day.
