Whose house is this?
Looking for an opportunity to make some like-minded new friends? Sick of sitting in front of the telly with a crocheted blankie over your knees? Never fear, Brisbane Open House is here to get you out of your house into someone else's on the weekend of October 8 and 9.

Meet friends at the Windmill Tower
Take it from a long time BOH volunteer that this is the opportunity you've been waiting for. I have met some wonderful folk whilst directing tours of the old windmill, Walter Taylor Bridge, and the Shingle Inn.

Who lived here?

A Touch of Olde Englande
The BOH family don't have you coming in cold to this experience. There will be Volunteer Briefing Sessions in Brisbane City on Tuesday September 27 and Thursday September 29 at 6pm. There you will be issued with your volunteer pack comprising of a bag, cap, 2016 guidebook and VIP access pass which provides front-of-queue entry to non-booked buildings. Bargain!

Keeping an Eye on You at the Masonic Temple
If you are proud of your city and are happy to share it with locals and visitors alike, I suggest you don't delay and go to
www.brisbaneopenhouse.com.au/get-involved and click on Choose a Spot. Positions are going fast, and if you want a broad choice, now is the time to act.

Who's been sitting in your chair?
If you fancy yourself as a photographer, there are several spots remaining in an opportunity to visit particular locations to photograph various venues on behalf of BOH, including some which require a pre-booking. You go to the head of the queue.

The Mayne Inheritance Explained
Brisbane Open House is a highlight of Brisbane's annual event calendar. Volunteers enjoy a get together with fellow civic-minded folk at a late afternoon thank you party. I hope to see you there.
