Voilah! is the signature French festival held annually in Singapore presenting the best of French creativity and innovation in culture, science, education and gastronomy through diverse and engaging events. Held from 15 April to 31 May, Voilah! 2016 celebrates 51 years of diplomatic relations between France and Singapore. It is organised by Institut Français Singapour and the French Embassy, in collaboration with the French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore.
Opening Night with Luminéoles Ballet
The festival will be opened with Luminéoles Ballet. Les Luminéoles, originally commissioned for Lyon Festival of Lights, will present the special show transforming a public space into a wonderland.

Be enchanted by the illuminated flowers and colourful kites dancing in a spectacular aerial ballet. It will take place at Marina Bay Sands on 15 April 7.30pm and on 16 April at Supertree Groove, Gardens By the Bay 7.15PM.
Opening Franck Vogel Exhibition & Open Air Screening of Once Upon a Forest
Franck Vogel will present 60 photos of Transboundary Rivers – The Brahmaputra, The Colorado and The Nile. In an effort to increase awareness of global water issues, Vogel focuses on seven major rivers, starting with the Nile and continuing with the Brahmaputra Colorado and Jordan Rivers. His next explorations will be the Mekong, Amazon and Ganges Rivers.
The photographer will give a talk on 16 April 2016 3.30pm at Waterview Room. At 7pm the exhibition will be officially opened at Colonnades. It runs until 30 May from 5am to 2am.
Once Upon a Forest (PG, In French with English subtitles) by Luc Jacquet will be screened at Supertree Grove Lawn at 9pm. He will take us on a journey to a tropical forest where he thrilled audiences with unique and exciting tales.
Gourmet Picnic with French Classical Concert
You will enjoy the best of French culture and food. You can also listen to a classical performances by the French Open String Quartet led by Amaury Coeytaux, super-soloist of the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France. The concert will be held on 17 April 6pm at Shaw Symphony Foundation Stage, Singapore Botanic Gardens.
Gaumont Film Retrospective
Catch masterpieces of Gaumont spanning the decades. From 15 April onward, you can view the famous French Film company's exhibition at The National Design Center. This is made possible with loans from the Gaumont Museum. It is a free of charge event.
Restored films and unpublished contemporary films will be presented at The Projector, Alliance francaise de Singapour, and National Design Centre from 17 April to 28 May. For ticket purchases and schedule, please look

Reframing Modernism
The National Gallery's first international collaboration, the Reframing Modernism exhibition, will re-examine the paradigm of modernist painting. The gallery has more than 200 works by Southeast Asian and European artists. Highlights of this exhibition are artworks by Le Pho, Cheong Soo Pieng and HR Ocampo, and treasures from the Centre Pompidou collection by artists such as Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall, Henri Matisse and Vassily Kandinsky.

French Science Journey Program
The French Science Journey Program aims to promote French research and brings Franco-Singaporean collaborations closer. It will be held from 15 April to 31 May.
Under this program, selected students will have the opportunity to visit world class French R&D entities in Singapore such as Thales Innovation Hub, Airbus Helicopters and Airbus Group Innovations, and Eri@n (Energy Research Institute @NTU).
