Celebrate 175 Years of Mitcham Village
Picturesque Mitcham Reserve has been providing a place of peace and serenity since 1845. The Village Green is hosting a celebration - Voices of the Village - in this beautiful garden space.

Wander through the tall gums, watch out for birdlife overhead and in the creek and let the kids run, climb, paddle or navigate the goat paths alongside the creek.

Voices of the Village will be officially opened by Major Glenn Spear at 11.00am. He will unveil artwork by classes at St Joseph's School and Scotch College.

Coffee, gelati and meals are available to enjoy while watching performances from Unley High School, Tony Subic, the Lancashire Witches, Samulnori (Korean Traditional Music), Cyrus Nuthakki Moving Meditation School of Tai Chi, and Millers School of Irish Dance.

Join a guided walking tour of Mitcham Village with the Mitcham Heritage Research Centre and keep your eyes open for Joseph the Town Crier and some of Mitcham's prominent historical figures from the 1800s. The Blackwood Players will present Sir Thomas Playford and Phillis Kinsman.

Children can travel back to Gold Rush times and participate in other historical activities by the old Mitcham School, with a Sunday school activity from Mitcham Village Uniting Church, wooden toy making by Mitcham Community Shed, free face painting and an engaging performance by Cool 4 Kids.
