Picturesque Mitcham Reserve has been providing a place of peace and serenity since 1845. The Village Green is hosting a celebration -
- in this beautiful garden space.
Wander through the tall gums, watch out for birdlife overhead and in the creek and let the kids run, climb, paddle or navigate the goat paths alongside the creek.
will be officially opened by Major Glenn Spear at 11.00am. He will unveil artwork by classes at St Joseph's School and Scotch College.

Coffee, gelati and meals are available to enjoy while watching performances from Unley High School, Tony Subic, the
Lancashire Witches , Samulnori (Korean Traditional Music), Cyrus Nuthakki Moving Meditation School of Tai Chi, and
Millers School of Irish Dance .
Join a guided walking tour of Mitcham Village with the Mitcham Heritage Research Centre and keep your eyes open for Joseph the Town Crier and some of Mitcham's prominent historical figures from the 1800s.
The Blackwood Players will present Sir Thomas Playford and Phillis Kinsman.

Children can travel back to Gold Rush times and participate in other historical activities by the old Mitcham School, with a Sunday school activity from
Mitcham Village Uniting Church , wooden toy making by Mitcham Community Shed, free face painting and an engaging performance by
Cool 4 Kids .
Collect stamps from the different displays and enter for a chance to win two free movie passes.
Pasadena High School will present graphic novel demonstration and there will be arts and crafts by Gallery One. A program of the day's events is available from
Mitcham Cultural Village , the
Civic Centre and
Mitcham Library .
