There have been a number of articles, reviews and notes about amazing milkshake joints in Sydney everyone must try, however the one that has caught my eye and ear multiple times in the last few weeks is the Vogue Cafe at Macquarie Centre.
A dear friend mentioned the Vogue cafe to me a short while ago and I have probably heard at least 20 more people mention it since and seen a 100 more instragram pics of this outrageously calorific milkshake since then. It left me no choice but to try it out right away.
The Vogue cafe located on Level 2 of the Macquarie Centre (close to the carpark exit) took a little bit of finding however the long queues outside gave it away.
Nestled in a corner, it has a wonderful welcome factor primarily due to the lighting and decor and one look at what's on everyone's table will make you stop in your tracks. We were a group of 8 and had a little bit of wait but the staff were efficient, courteous and helpful. I was getting carried away with everything they had on offer, but I decided to stay focused on the Double Deck - whose picture has been instragrammed most frequently lately. After a little bit of wait came this finger-licking, vibrant, delectable milkshake I have ever seen. The Double Deck.
The big winner is the multiple layers of the double deck and the mouthfuls of surprises in every bite and spoonful. The mint chocolate bits owing to the mint chocolate gaytime ice cream please every corner of the mouth. Once you go past the decorations, the milkshake itself is heavenly.
I noted that every drink and milkshake came in vividly decorated jugs with maltesers, lollies, popcorn, kitkat and anything else you can name.
