Perth is in for a real delight with distinguished Melbourne soprano Merlyn Quaife taking her audience on a pilgrimage in words and song as she shares her experience of walking the Camino de Santiago on Saturday 23rd July at 7:30pm.

It is hard to imagine what walking 800km must be like but Merlyn will include extracts from her diary recounting her experiences along the route of Santiago de Compostella and singing a selection of songs accompanied by Marilyn Phillips on the piano.

Her chosen songs include The Prayer of St Francis by Christopher Willcock; Kyrie elision and Agnus Dei by Jean Langlais; Mozart 's Abendempfindung (EveningSong); Kurt Weill's Wie lange noch and Youkali ; Schubert's Heidenroslein and Dvorak's The Lord is my Shepherd.

Tickets are from $20 and can be purchased from

As a special treat, a vocal workshop will also be held during Merlyn's visit. If you are interested in taking part, please email:
