Tasty authentic Vietnamese cuisine
During the winter months of COVID19 last year, not visiting restaurants or my favourite eateries was a real struggle. Because of this, like many others, my wife and I looked toward Uber and Menulog. One of the restaurants we ordered delivery from frequently was VN City.
This week, I had the chance to get out and about and visited the restaurant in person. Located in Strathfield, VN City is a small Vietnamese restaurant known for its signature crispy chicken. The crispy chicken certainly lived up to the standard, tasty and juicy, a dish I would certainly recommend.
However, the dish that I was most excited about was the authentic Pho beef combination. I have had the Pho delivered via Uber before, but having it while dining-in took the experience to another level. The broth was full of flavour with plenty of it, being served in a large bowl.
On each table, there is a collection of condiments like fresh chilli, chilli sauce, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, and more, all of which can be added to your meal. Cutlery is in a draw at the end of the table, which you get yourself, making the event very much a self-service experience.
The service we did receive was efficient and friendly. The meal was served quickly, though the true highlight was the quality of the food. Everything tasted fresh and on point, especially the Pho, with its punchy flavour.
