Hi there! I'm Lisa, a 24-year-old Psychology student from Germany. I live in Sydney now to finish my Masters. Being new to the city, I love to get around and share my impressions with you. Hope you enjoy reading my stuff :)!

Epiphany at Circular Quay
For the next couple of weeks Sydney's harbour has been turned into a gigantic, lightened up playground. Check it out.

Harbour Bridge

Sydney's annual light festival Vivid is on again. From the 24th of May until the 10th of June enlightenment will hit the city in all colours, forms and places. The Light Walk from The Rocks all the way down to the Oprea House is only one of the many attractions of the festival. But definitely one that is worth to be seen. This year the walk is dominated by interactive light projections. Every night from 6pm to midnight, Sydney Harbour invites you to play, discover and enjoy. Don't miss it.

Starting out at Harbour Bridge, you will find one of Sydney's most iconic sight all lit up and changing colours to the beat of music.

make light moving by playing the drum
It is certainly not the most impressive part of the walk but no worries, mate. There is more to come. Continue your walk to Circular Quay and you will find many Vivid spots along the way with different art projects. Mentioning each and every one would not only go beyond the size of this article but would also give away all the surprises, right?

One highlight is definitely the light projection on the Opera House. Luscious women, animal prints and pinballs appear on the giant shells to the sound of beats. One hint for the source of the music: light in tubes. Between the Park Hyatt and Circular Quay it's all about "do it yourself". Play the piano or drum or go back to childhood days on the see-saws.

There is one project I really urge you to go see. Opposite circular quay the fašade of Customs House is as canvas to a massive, interactive light projection show. "Move your building" is a 3D mapping show, realized by French design company Danny Rose, where you get to control the projections with your very own dance moves. The playlist varies from Elvis, Brit Pop and Dance to colourful India. Just choose your favorite song, stand on the marked cross and go crazy. This is your moment of glory.

Check out other events of the Vivid Festival as well. I'm sure they have something more for you in petto.
