This year, Sydney is extending the footprint of the Vivid Light Walk to also include Fort Dennison, the Sydney Opera House, Circular Quay, The Rocks, Walsh Bay and Darling Harbour.
This year Vivid Sydney begins at Fort Denison and continues on the western boardwalk of Sydney Opera House. A series of interactive and immersive light art sculptures and installations show the way with some fun and interactive displays.
At Circular Quay, be on the lookout for a huge old-fashioned light bulb. Bulky Bulb, as it is called, is marked with translucent tubes pulsating with colourful LED lights, you can't miss it.
The Electric Canvas makes a return in 2013 at Cadman's Cottage. The Canvas uses a large touch screen, where you can create your own architectural projection. With many different themes, tools and colour palettes you can select different sections and then apply textures and animations to the cottage while you watch. Also a photo of each of the artworks created will go to Vivid's twitter account so that you can download or retweet!
