Council grounds are going to be abuzz with victory; light over darkness, good over evil. Diwali is a celebration of all that and needs sharing with family and friends. Head to 25 Ferres Boulevard, South Morang on Sunday 28 October 2018 from 12pm to 9pm for a cultural event where gifts are exchanged, sumptuous food and sweets are devoured, buildings are decorated with lights and candles, new clothes are worn, prayers are chanted and firecrackers are lit.
In a large outdoor community setting this year, look forward to Bollywood dancing, camel and pony rides, henna tattoos, food, festivities, carnival rides, a multicultural stage, a DJ, and the night wouldn't be complete without fireworks, so watch out for it at 8.30pm. The Bindaas Bollywood Dance Company will be out in full force to entertain you with the vibrant and colourful art of modern Indian dance.
