I am a world traveller & a mom of two, (8 & 6). I love to meet people, and am fascinated that there are 7 billion stories out there to be explored. I think Melbourne is the most happening city to live in with all the fun activities around town.
Finest Cultural Showcase in Victoria
The mother of all multicultural festivals, Viva Victoria is coming to town on Sunday 22 March 2015 to its home at Federation Square. If you have made any other plans for that day, highly recommended is that you either drop those plans and head on to this premium festival, or somehow manage to squeeze it in. You have perhaps attended other cultural festivals, but Viva Victoria encompasses all cultural festivals into one mega performance and highlights the city's rich diversity.
Federation Square comes to live with Viva Victoria Festival
2015 will be the seventh year this festival is being staged, a testament to its success in the past. Viva Victoria, sponsored by Victorian Multicultural Commission) is also the culmination of the Cultural Diversity Week which will be held from 14 to 22 March 2015, so keep your eyes and ears open when cultural communities across Victoria showcase the best of their performances during the week long festivities.
Different activities for everyone at Viva Victoria
Among all the benefits that come with cultural awareness, the most obvious one is that this festival bring people of different linguistic, religious and community backgrounds on a single stage and unites them to create perfect harmony and social cohesion.
The festival will commence at 12 noon with a line-up of the finest live entertainment including dance and music on stage. Around the Federation Square will be stalls, workshops, art, food, roving performances and activities for all ages, winding up at 6pm. All this and more for the whole family for absolutely no charge to you. This event is not to be missed.
The program for the event will be made available closer to date and the link will be posted in the comments section. Until then, mark your calendars and re-arrange other plans if you have any, invite your friends and come and experience Viva Victoria. You will have a new appreciation for what our beautiful State of Victoria is all about.
