As part of Cultural Diversity Week, the Viva Victoria Festival, will once again be held at Federation Square on Sunday 25 March.

In previous years, this special event has celebrated over 50 nationalities, through demonstrations of dance, art and design, food stalls and music performance. With two main stages, which will be surrounded by numerous stalls, various art installations, as well as roving performers and a market bazaar, Federation Square is going to be a celebration of colour and culture, to the delight of it's one of a kind community.

The events will begin a 12pm and the main stage will host special performances from dance troupes demonstrating traditional dances from Thailand, Hungry and New Zealand throughout the afternoon. There will also be traditional music from several countries such as Japan, Sudan, India, Mauritius, Cuba, the Middle East, Greece, Vietnam, Bulgaria and Colombia.

The food stalls serve traditional and authentic dishes from several countries - dive into Japanese cuisine, or try Mauritian delicacies, perhaps a Vietnamese treat or a hearty German meal. There will be many dishes to try throughout the day - including European cakes and sweets, Spanish sangria and Thai drinks.

Trawl through World Market - featuring 17 stalls, which will include traditional handmade jewelery and arts and crafts from Peru, Brazil, India, South Africa, Indonesia, Laos, Poland, Japan, Nepal and the Netherlands.

This is a fantastic way to honour and celebrate our multicultural community.

Admission is free and this is a family friendly event.
