[ADVERT]Join with the State Library on Sunday 13 April for a day of free family activities dedicated to Italian culture.

Viva L'Italia is to celebrate the State Library's latest exhibition, Rome: Piranesi's vision . Piranesi was an Italian artist famous for his etchings of Rome and this is the largest ever exhibition of his works outside Italy.

The day is inspired by the old fashioned Italian scampagnata (picnic). Children can build Lego colosseums, engage in carnevale mask-making and printmaking, play bocce and enjoy loads of Italian foods including wood-fired pizza and excellent gelato.

There will also be a DJ playing Italian '50s and '60s tunes, roving musicians, folk music, and sing-alongs with the Italian women's choir La Voce Della Luna Venetian.

How about doing a tour of Piranesi's vision& #8232 ; in English or Italian, or having a go at life drawing with Roman gods?

So come along and enjoy music, dancing, games, food, and fun. You are promised a magnifico load of fun.
