Most also have information about many places in your home state or in many other parts of Australia, so if you are planning a trip, be it a day trip or a large tour, this is the place to get information before you set out.
These great community resources are staffed by volunteers who have good knowledge of local places and events, and they are well worth visiting. When you travel, don't forget to call in to local Information Centres as you will find more information about the places you are visiting or you can plan a visit.
You will be surprised what you learn.
