This is only the 2nd market for Vision Gardens Makers & Designers Market hosted by Indie Market Place . You could almost call it the first time it's featuring as the last market was more about the launching of MrDuk's Cafe Restaurant at Vision Gardens over the Mother's Day weekend complete with Ironman and Melbourne Transformers .

Saturday 13th June 2015 is the date and the time 10am to 2.30pm at 2680 Frankston-Flinders Road, Bittern.

This is but a small market with the main feature being MrDuk's cafe and restaurant. However, MrDuk has big plans to have a big market at Vision Gardens on a regular basis. This is but its first baby step out into the world and with Dave (MrDuk) at the helm, it's but a matter of time. Powered by the amazing market organiser Eva of Indie Market Place , who has practically put Tecoma's Market on the map in such a short successful time with sheer passion and determination, there is no doubt this too shall happen at Bittern.

It's a Catch 22 in a way. The more you all come out and support this market of amazing creatives who are being the pioneers and bravely stepping up to the challenge each month, the more it'll grow. The more traffic, the more reason for stallholders to want to be there and vice versa. So don't be shy.

Come on out for a lovely drive to Bittern, have a beautiful breakfast, lunch or cuppa and cake at MrDuk's Cafe and Restaurant. His famous tarts, pies and dumplings need no introduction and now with the restaurant there are even more choices. What better way to follow a meal than with a browse at a readily available market on the premises. Go on out and meet the makers and designers at this market. They're more than happy to chat to you about their wares.

You'll find the following stallholders and it's not unusual for more stallholders to slot in last minute.

* The Calico Co has to be one of my favourites. I really admire the way Leah does such a good job of making her one of a kind handmade dolls and bears from scratch. You can have dolls made to order in any colour combination and what a treat it would be for one lucky young girl to have one customised to her hair and eye colouring. It could be her mini-me. I have no doubt there's room for customised bears in footy colours and such like. I love her Raggedy Ann and Andy. They're exquisite.
  • Beyond the Picket Fence 's Connie has been a crafter for over 28 years. She does a little bit of prim, country and a whole lot of Christmas crafts, which happens to be her passion. I have to admit I do migrate to Christmassy craft and cookbooks myself because it just feels so joyful reminiscent of the season itself. Connie used to have a store in the Dandenong ranges but now sells only at markets or from her Facebook page.

  • HART 2 HART Handmade carries a range of unique baby clothes, hats, bibs, children and adult clothing up to size 26. Now that's an amazing size range I'd say and worth checking out. It's all hand tie-dyed and all different, so there should be something to suit everyone.
  • Hot Bag Warmth for Wellbeing is made out of Lupin, not wheat. You'll find neck coolie bags and weighted blankets that are handmade for pain relief by heat and cold therapy.
  • Scent with Intent uses only the purest of soy wax and scents. There's no palm oil in the products and they're making a difference with their ethically made, scented and purpose charged products. Scent with Intent is listed as a gift shop, jewellery store and a psychic. There's also a website .
  • Sam Clark Photography 's mission is to make a difference in your hearts and on this land. She's had a love affair with Africa for as long as she can remember. The deep spiritual connection she felt got her to pursue African Wildlife Photography full-time. Her images have sold worldwide and from there she has taken the natural route of progression towards conservation. Sam uses her powerful imagery to connect people to wildlife and to raise funds for several conservation organisations inclusive of 'Walking for Lions'. She is now the Australian coordinator for them and she also supports orphans and schools in Africa.

  • At her stall, as well as Giclee prints, Sam carries a line of bookmarks, cards, magnets, and photo jewellery and her lines continue to expand. She also hopes to publish a book in the near future. Doesn't she sound amazing and definitely worth a visit and a chat about how we can all make a difference in this world.

She also runs small group African photographic safaris and even though photography based, all have an underlying conservation awareness incorporated into each itinerary.

The next tour being run is the Ugandan tour from 8th to 22nd January 2016 and there are only 3 spaces left with an optional 3 day extension. Here's your chance to experience an unforgettable wildlife experience with personalised photo tuition. Imagine experiencing an encounter with an endangered mountain gorilla or the privilege of sitting near a wild lion. To find out more, contact Sam Clark.

    Part proceeds from this tour will directly benefit the following organizations;
    - Walking For Lions
    - Gorila Doctors
    -Child Uganda Project
    Asante Sana (Thank you)

As you can see Vision Gardens at this stage has a small but passionate group of stall holders, so make sure you come visit and support this market; help it grow to full potential. The bonus of attending this market is of course MrDuk's wonderful food.

As you can see, there's plans for a Christmas in July event with 'live' music, children's entertainment, craft and artisan markets and lots more. Make sure you drop him a friendly message and have your say about about the catering for this upcoming event. In the meantime, enjoy a great fresh market morning.
