From now onwards until Remembrance Day, Virtual War Memorial Australia presents a visual narrative event on the Drill Hall facade at Torrens Parade Ground in Adelaide from where many left for war. This is a homage to the fallen and those who returned and also transforms a symbolic State Heritage Place.



The Virtual War Memorial Australia visual event is sponsored by the Government of South Australia. This event honours the ordinary South Australians who have contributed to Australia's military commitments, past and present through their extraordinary service. The visual event seeks to raise community awareness of the role of the State's military heritage and highlight the dimensions of war and armed conflict.



All South Australians are encouraged to view the visual event as a way to honour those who have served in the defence of our country and way of life. By remembering all who have served, we recognise their willingly-endured hardships and fears, taken upon themselves so that we can live in peace.

We will remember them.
