What a great way to give and be generous, especially at Christmas time. We all know many of us are doing it tough, but there's always someone doing it tougher. For those of us not doing it so tough, we can definitely spare a dollar or ten to help others, and here's one way. Foodbank is hosting a Virtual Christmas Table so you can help them feed 69,000 people a day and you can't get more giving and festive than that, during a season renown for generosity. You'll find all the details via the given link . You can set up your very own Virtual Christmas Table and invite everyone you know to buy a seat for $10. Seriously, the impact will be priceless. Every seat you add to your table goes directly to the purchase of food which will then be delivered to families and individuals right across the state to get them through Christmas. Think of Foodbank as your reindeer.
So many people are struggling to afford even the basics right now 2013 especially at expensive times of year like Christmas. Thanks to a generous and amazing community like you who help with fundraisers, Foodbank can create a seat at the table for every one of those 69,000 people who would otherwise be going without this Christmas. Thanks to you, Foodbank can ensure everyone has access to fresh, nutritious, and of course delicious food this Christmas. There are of course a myriad of ways to help this wonderful organisation which is the largest food relief organisation that has been providing food relief to the vulnerable for over 90 years. Being a virtual event, you can fundraise or simply donate from wherever you are, to buy someone you don't know, a meal, and dignity.
Foodbank is the good guys who help all in need and I've seen them in action, delivering and helping the Salvation Army (another wonderful charitable organisation) food supplies so the Salvos in turn can feed the needy that turn up at their door three times a week at the one I go to. Whether it's the Salvos or Foodbank, if you can spare the time, you can volunteer . Find out more via your Foodbank website in your state. I absolutely adore being at the Salvos I go to, which also needs a lot of help with volunteering in the food garden they grow, to serve the food, do the dishes and so on. I give helping others the thumbs up as I always go away feeling good, and that feeling is priceless. There are many ways you can help, so check out their website . Perhaps you could be one of their generous supporters/sponsors. Sometimes it's as easy as walking past a Foodbank vending machine at a shopping centre to get involved in the simple act of giving back and putting meals on the tables of people in need.
