On the main drag in Annerley Junction is a Lifeline store with a difference. For the bast 12 years, Vintage Revival has been the one-stop shop for vintage and retro clothing, costumes and funky second-hand homewares. Near Halloween, the staff are run off their feet as they find the perfect thing for every Jack Sparrow, zombie and Pocahontas for the seasonal parties which are becoming increasingly more popular.
Swan in and see Manager, David and his staff when you have a special event to go to. He knows every piece in the store and will be able to direct you to all the most amazing clothes which he can even match with a bag, coat and pair of shoes. Men and women have racks of choice with anything from 50's sundresses to acid-wash denim jeans and safari suits.
Prices aren't as cheap as your usual op shop but they're not astronomical either with a range from $8 - $60 and the majority sitting around the $20 mark. I have found plenty to fill a few shopping bags in a visit and update my wardrobe regularly by stopping in and seeing what's new. It's the best place to go when you don't have a lot of cash but need some new clothes in your wardrobe.
There are wigs galore in the accessories section along with gloves, sunnies, socks and stockings which complement vintage and retro era clothing in the store. Pick up a 60's turban, top hat or stetson for your dress-up box or just to wear out for fun! There are loads of shoes to choose from including real Converse sneakers in all the best colours from around $10 a pair. I usually buy my new handbags from Vintage Revival as they often have beautiful ones that are either new or practically unused for tiny prices. Saves me spending $100's and it's something I will use every day.
All in all, I love this store and the only downside is finding a park but with the new Woolies, you can just do your groceries at the same time and make use of their carpark for your clothes shopping needs.
