Come hungry, the food is fine
The Vintage and Handmade Market at Plant 4 Overlooks Bowden Park
Everybody loves a good market. But what's better than a market with heaps of market stalls selling good gear at great prices? How about a vibrant market with fabulous fresh food, where you can sit down with a quality coffee or a glass of tasty South Australian wine and relax? Get ready for the Vintage and Handmade Market at Plant 4.
The people behind Plant 4 Markets at Bowden have been in the market trade for years, and have fine-tuned the customer experience to be the best in Adelaide. They specialise in finding talented stallholders with the freshest of locally grown produce. Combine that with a relaxed atmosphere with a friendly vibe, live entertainment, and free activities for kids, and you have a winning formula.
Plant 4 hold regular markets at Bowden three days a week, but in addition to these you'll find special events held occasionally with a different focus. The free Vintage and Handmade Market at Plant 4 is the next of these one-off events, dedicated as you might expect to artisan goods and handmade crafts. With Christmas coming it's always a challenge to find unique and appealing gifts, and what better than something locally crafted with love?
Expect a load of market stalls selling vintage clothing, fashion accessories, handy to have home-wares, beauty products and plenty of other locally designed and made goodies. There will be more than 60 stalls attending including Vintage Fox, Alcome Co, Bel Short Designs, Blue Bell Design, Haus of Denim and Lace, Miss Fortunes Vintage, Orange Forest Cards, Pineapple Vintage, Retro & Roses, Retro Vintage Recyclable, Story Tellers Workshop, The Little Vintage Company, Throwshoe and Vintage Earth.
After you're done with shopping, take a wander around and pick your favourite food from Plant 4's in-house eateries or one of a selection of food stalls that will also be open. Of course, the Plant 4 bar will be serving the best South Australian craft beer, wines, cider, gin and delicious cocktails. My main problem will be deciding when to stop.
For all you need to know about the Vintage and Handmade Market at Plant 4 head on over their Facebook page or the event page. Don't forget not only are you invited, but feel welcome to bring your poochies along as there will be plenty of seating in the outdoor area spilling out onto Bowden Park.
