Vinnies, Oxley opened its doors yesterday, June 21, 2018. With a brand new, fresh location, they are looking for volunteers who have time to help them out.



Why not come in to the store at the corner of the Factory Road loop, where they are located right beside National Tiles?

There is lots of parking and it only takes a short time to fill out the forms that are needed to get you started. Naomi, the lovely store manager, will help you get sorted. If you can't make it into the store right away, you can email her at [email protected] with questions regarding volunteering.



It took Naomi and her team a bit of time to gather all their wonderful stock, then just a couple of days to get everything shelved and hung. You really need to see how beautiful this store is with all the lovely brightness and colour. And there is no shortage of things to browse through.

Even if you are unable to volunteer, there is plenty of shopping to be had. Are you looking for men's shirts? There is a lovely selection. Children's clothes come in a range of sizes, colours and textures for those little ones who don't take long to become bigger ones. Maybe you are looking for something to keep you warmer on these chilly mornings. Scarves, pashminas, vests, hoodies, jackets, and jumpers are all in this season.



Are you a bride to be? Maybe you could find your dress here. Perhaps you are the mother of the bride? Come in and take a look. Need some shoes to go with that? Jewellery? You might find it all here.

Throwing a party and entertaining but don't quite have enough dishes, plates, wine glasses? Vinnies has a great selection of everything you need.



You might even find that copy of Harry Potter you have been looking for in the book section. There are many books and lots of movies to keep you entertained.

This could even be the place where you find that gift for someone who loves anything that is a treasure. And every time you come, it will be a new experience.



If you are not aware, the Vincent de Paul Society helps those who need a hand up. Maybe you know someone in need. You can check out their website at qld.vinnies.org.au and get the information you need.

When you make purchases, you are helping out those same people in need.

Maybe you are looking for an escape out of the house. Maybe you just want to chat with others while you spend a few hours donating your time and giving back to this wonderful community that gives so much to our society. This could be the opportunity you are looking for.
The new location of Vinnies on Factory Road, is opened 7 days a week, Monday – Friday: 8:30 – 4:30pm, Saturday from 8:30 – 4:00pm and Sunday: 10:00-3:00pm. This could be perfect with their weekend hours, you could give time outside of your workweek.
