Wake up with the smell of coffee
Where to find the early morning coffee places in the Northern suburbs of Brisbane on a Sunday morning? After dropping our number 1 son off at soccer training at Ballymore this morning, we headed out to find somewhere open for breakfast.
We ended up at the shopping complex in Newmarket, having been here before and knowing that the local coffee place here opened early and made a good breakfast.
Vinnie's Cafe and Deli is located in the busy shopping centre in Newmarket near the Newmarket Hotel. Not so busy at 7am on a Sunday morning. A few early morning rises ordering their coffee and breakfast so finding a seat in their outdoor dining area was no problem.
Also, we didn't have to wait long for the waitress who recognised us from our previous visits to take our coffee orders. She greeted us as if we were regulars and tried to remember our coffee orders. She was able to remember that I had ordered a double shot at my last visit.
Coffee order taken and we were then left to decide what to have for breakfast. My order was easier, as tend to be a creature of habit when it comes to breakfast. Turkish bread, with poached eggs, avocado and feta was my choice. My husband decided on the Panini breakfast which was basically bacon and eggs on a panini. He was encouraged to have the side of grilled potatoes. (a dish he had ordered on a previous visit) Our friendly waitress remembered this as well.
Our meals didn't take long to arrive and we were very satisfied with our choices.
Being a Sunday morning we took our time to eat and then chat afterwards but at no time we felt pressured to leave.
Vinnie's Cafe is a casual cafe serving breakfast and lunch. It also has a lovely selection of cakes and sweets to have with your coffee if you are just stopping for morning or afternoon tea. They also have a number of items for takeaway, including wraps, croissants and homemade goodies on display in the front cabinet.
The outdoor area was also pet-friendly as there were a couple of 'furry' kids accompanying their owners. Parking right out front is also available.
So if you are in the area drop by for a coffee or a bite to eat, especially for all the soccer mums and dad out there as it is close to a number of sporting fields in the area. No doubt we will find ourselves back at this cafe.
