I am a retired English teacher who has retired from teaching but not from life, which I intend to live to the full. With all my hobbies, I'm busier now than ever with my art groups, small business and gardening.
Once a month, the Wellard Village Holds a twilight market. It's a chance to unwind after a hot day while you browse the markets on a balmy summer evening, and there's a lot to browse. It's a free community event and one where you can bring the whole family.
At the February markets, there will be extra stalls. These include handmade wooden goods, homemade jams and pickles, a gourmet dog biscuit stall, plus vintage records. There'll be something for everyone in the family.
Don't forget to write the following date for the markets on your calendar: Saturday, 10th of February from 4 to 8 pm. They're held at The Strand at Wellard Square, The Village at Wellard. If driving south from Perth, it's a short drive down the freeway and turn right onto Mortimer Ave. Otherwise, it's a short walk from the Wellard Railway Station.
If you are interested in having your own stall, the rates are very reasonable. If wanting extra information, contact John on 0417 904 419 or if you would prefer, email Chris at firstname.lastname@example.org. Alternatively, you can ring the Peel Community Information Line on 1800 819 912 or email, email@example.com. The website has photos and information about the markets and for prospective stall holders.
