A unique view of Australia's best loved theatrical couple
Having spent much of their childhood watching from the wings while their parents, Jill Perryman and Kevan Johnston, performed on many of Australia's iconic theatrical stages, Tod Johnston and Trudy Dunn share with you their unique view of their parents' lives as one of Australia's most long-lived and loving theatrical couples.

Tod Johnston and Trudy Dunn

Tod and Trudy both have a unique perspective on two of Australia's best loved actors and entertainers, and spent much of their childhood watching their parents work and rehearse as well as traveling with them.

The show is called View From The Wings and is on Wednesday the 12th December at 10:30am at His Majesty's Theatre.

Last year, Jill Perryman received a Helpmann for her life-long contribution to the performing arts, so it felt like the right time for these siblings to get together and share songs, stories and reminiscences from their parent's professional world and personal lives.

Trudy who is Head of Curriculum Services at St Hilda's and who has tread the boards in various musicals will team on-stage with her brother Tod, best known in Perth as an entertainer, MC and television host, as well as front man for 80's band V Capri.

Trudy explains "I was performing in theatre and musical theatre while Tod went into rock. Now I do more teaching than I do singing and can you believe it - we've never performed together, so this will be a very special occasion." Through songs closely associated with their parents' years as performers, Tod and Trudy take you on this sentimental, often funny journey to give you a glimpse of their unusual childhood.

You may even win yourself a fabulous Christmas door prize.
All performances commence at 10.30am and are approximately one hour in length. Tickets are $26* and includes morning tea in the foyer after the performance. Seating is reserved. (*Prices include booking fees. Transaction fees may apply).

Bookings can be made through Ticketek on 1300 795 012, in person at Ticketek agencies or online at the Ticketek website. Groups Bookings are welcome, Ph 1300 364 001.
