The owners of this trendy spot have put together an old Laundromat, traditional Vietnamese cuisine and funky retro decorations; the result is a small yet comfortable place to dine in, gather with friends and enjoy a drink or two.

Vietnamese Laundry is located in the heart of Adelaide on 152 Sturt Street. But these four walls are now seeing a lot more than washing baskets and soap bubbles as the magic of this place comes from its tiny kitchen, where aromatic spices, fresh meats, colourful vegetables and fluffy bread rolls, are all lovingly put together to create tasty dishes full of different textures and flavours.

If you know Vietnamese cuisine, these guys are serving the usual favourites: Pho (soup), Vietnamese pancakes, beef salad, lettuce cups, and what a lot of people claim to be Adelaide's best Banh mi (steamed bread rolls) and I tend to agree with them, these bread rolls, are moist, fluffy and slightly sweet, not to mention the fillings in them are out of this world, think slow cooked pork, coriander, chilli…

Their menu is suited to all sorts of occasions; dinner for two, a quick lunch, bar snacks, drinks and dinner with friends.

The service at Vietnamese Laundry is just as good as their food and décor, staff are energetic, polite and really helpful when it comes to making tough choices. My partner and I were recommended a large tasting platter which was perfect in size and had little bits of everything and of course it was delicious!
