Located near 127 Days Restaurant at Croydon Park, Vietnam Asian Food Bar is a great place to enjoy a quick Vietnamese meal or snack. This place is quite popular with the locals, attracting quite a large crowd during lunchtime.

Also known as Banh mi, the Vietnamese Meat Rolls offered here is a popular snack in Vietnam. Meat, pickles and Asian herbs are served in bread resembling shorter versions of baguettes. The Lemongrass Chicken Meat Roll had chicken cooked just right with the distinctive taste of the lemongrass seasoning with the pickles providing a delectable tangy flavour. If you prefer, there are also variations using roast pork and combination of chicken and pork as well.

Another popular Vietnamese dish served at this place is Cold Rolls, a dish in which rice paper is rolled around various fillings. The Tofu Rolls had a subtle fresh taste with the prawns in their Prawn Cold Rolls cooked to perfection and being a bit more filling compared to the Tofu Rolls. Provided with the dish are sweet sauce which the cold rolls can be dipped in to give them more flavour.

A dish that is bit different from the usual Vietnamese dishes are a selection of dishes featuring your choice of meat on top of what looks liked fried sticky rice. The roast pork option we selected had pork with crisp crackling that contrasted nicely with the tender meat with the sticky rice acting as a good foil to the rich taste of the meat. A version that uses duck instead of roast pork is also available.

While it is more popular for the locals to order the dishes for takeaway, there are a few seats available should you decide to eat there. Plenty of off-street parking is available in the carpark located within walking distance of the café.
